We all wish to see our students appreciate and enjoy their mathematical experience. And some of you, if you are like me, would enjoy hearing comments such as "Interesting stuff" or "I've seen a little of what you mathematicians do, and it's not bad" in lieu of what we have come to expect. I encourage all of you to do as much as you can to promote mathematics appreciation. To me, there is no doubt that The Elements can serve as one very important source of material to use as we strive to answer the question: "What is that good for?" Can there be any doubt? We do mathematics to delight the mind and gladden the heart.
