Number theory and arithmetic geometry. My areas of study include
modular forms, elliptic curves,
partitions, degeneration of curves and jacobians and K3 surfaces.

Other interests

I enjoy most sports, including tennis,
rollerblading, ultimate frisbee
and running.
I ran the 1999 New York City Marathon, and skated the 2000 North Shore Inline Marathon
and the inaugural Big Granite Inline Marathon.
I am currently in the process of hiking the Appalachian Trail, section by section.
So far I have hiked from the trail head at Springer Mountain in Georgia to Harpers Ferry, West Virginia,
about 1010 miles. In the summer of 2003 I hiked the Wonderland Trail, which I would recommend
highly to anyone who loves hiking; for a hike in the southeast, the Foothills Trail is very nice.
I am also a reading and math tutor for the Greenville Literacy Association.
